@easymillion Pan American Silver PAAS is the #1 holding of GDXJ at 7.24%. So why would it go down on a relatively OK Jan 17 announcement? Pan American Silver’s Preliminary 2023 Production Results and Guidance for 2024 is not much of a miss and guidance OK. Short interest here in Canada is shown as 2.85M, in US however, current short is 14.19M! How is this possible? 60.26% of Float Held by Institutions and Mutual Funds. Some mutual funds are allowed to utilize derivatives contracts like options and futures to enhance returns or generate income. Check unusual put volumes that really move the markets in ETFs. When silver reverses this will return to former highs of Aug. Will a short squeeze eventually be seen? - 2020 C$50.28, USD$37.46 Buy - Long $PAAS, PAAS.US
