OTTAWA SAYS NO TO PIERIDAE LNG?

"Canada’s East Coast has only enough natural gas supply to accommodate one new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility, and the project that would boost shipments to Europe the fastest is Repsol’s, Canada’s environment minister told Reuters....The amount of gas that is available would be available only for one facility at this point,” Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault said in an interview late on Wednesday, adding that the idea of constructing new gas pipelines in Canada was not “very realistic"

As a very recent shareholder I also feel bad for anyone who believed an LNG plant could be built anywhere in Canada. Never mind the east coast, thousands of kms from big gas fields. I feel sorry for anyone who believes any pipeline expansion necessary for an LNG plant will ever get built anywhere in Canada. No, we are doomed to be price takers selling our natural resources of every kind to our ...more
