Peyto Exploration & Development Corp. is a Canadian energy company involved in the development and production of natural gas, oil and natural gas liquids in Alberta's deep basin. The Alberta Deep Basin is a geologic setting situated on the northeastern front of the Rocky Mountain belt in the deepest part of the Alberta sedimentary basin. It acquired Repsol Canada Energy Partnership (Repsol Assets), which included around 23,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of low-decline production and 455,000 net acres of mineral land. The acquisition includes five operated natural gas plants with combined net natural gas processing capacity of around 400 million cubic feet per day, 2,200 kilometers (km) of operated pipelines, and a 12 MW cogeneration power plant. These assets include Edson Gas Plant and the Central Foothills Gas Gathering System. The Company has a total proved plus probable reserves of approximately 7.8 trillion cubic feet equivalent (1.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent).

RE:Official explanation of rolling blackouts in California

RE:Official explanation of rolling blackouts in CaliforniaLmao. Yasch, that isn't even supported in the report... Caiso has been the canary for a while and have been desperately trying to secure imports from Idaho, Oregon and Washingon. When those guys can't export because of internal needs... California goes brown. From the report... there are multiple sections talking about the technicals With the increase of use-limited resources such as solar generation in recent years, however, this is no longer the case. Today, the single critical period of peak demand is giving way to multiple critical periods during the day including the net demand peak, which is the peak of load net of solar and wind generation resources. The RA program has also tried to adjust for this change in resource mix by identifying reliability problems now seen later in the day by simulating each hour of the day, not just peak, and identifying the risk of lost firm load called Loss of Load Expectation (LOLE). The evaluation of wind and solar generation in particular are evaluated on its Effective Load Carrying Capability (ELCC)
