RE:RE:RE:A useful Global Perspective on energy and emissions

RE:RE:RE:A useful Global Perspective on energy and emissions Thanks EIJ for better expressing my thoughts, perhaps you could also help me to express my thoughts  based on the graph on page 12 of Peyto's latest presentation.
The graph indicates the only significant contribution that any nation has made to counter the humongous growth in CO2 emissions in Asia. That nation is the USA and its contribution has for the most part been achieved by vastly increasing their nat gas production through the use of shale drilling.
Getting all of Asia off of coal would require tremendous increases in either nat gas production or nuclear or wind or solar. EV's for transportation will only be effective if the above measures are taken first . Electricity is no more a source of energy than a drive shaft is. EV's cannot be considered more efficient than ICE 's until a cradle to grave analysis has been done . That analysis will need to be done for each locale ,as it will depend highly on local circumstances. Most importantly is the vast amount of capital that will be needed to cause a transition. Capital too is a commodity and contrary to most government dreamers, it cannot be created solely by sleight of hand. Just ask Joe Biden about that !!
