RE:Peyto Announces Leadership UpdateOver the last year JP has been involved more and more in conference calls and presentations (such as the AGM). It was only a matter of time before he succeeded Darren. Now Darren can retire on a somewhat high note. In my opinion, I don't think this change has anything to do with a potential sale. I don't see a sale any time soon. Nobody can run Peyto's assets better than the Peyto management team, except for maybe, Mike Rose at Tourmaline. If Tourmaline bought Peyto, there could be some synergies and a lower cost of capital but Tourmaline is focused on the Montney. For every other buyer, they would end up taking on lots of debt and wouldn't be able to run the assets better than the current team.
