TO potential - insiders I know many on this board see the same thing I do......resource hungry producers, minimal organic growth with these producers, and very few juniors with quality assets worth taking out. If you considered PG's assets worthy of a TO years ago, are they not even more appealing now?
Regarding the timing of insider buys in relation to pending news: If you go back to Mar 2010, there was a friendly takeover involving two Ontario based co's. The usual premium was built into the offer, but to my surprise.......a very well respected and connected insider of the acquired company made a substantial share purchase on the open market just days before the deal was announced. It was spotted by many, but nothing came of it, and guess what?.......that's how things play-out in the Wild West.
Another example of insiders using their postions to 'position' themselves......very recently I noticed an insider sell a large block of shares in a company I follow. Days later the company announced a secondary offering, at the same price the insider sold at.......but the secondary included a FULL WARRANT. Shortly after I learned that the same insider took down a portion of that financing. Very cute and neat.....swap your shares for a chunk of the offering at the same price.....but get the full warrant kicker for free! Yeehaw!!!!
Anyone expecting Hutterite values in this wild n wolly sector might choose to look elsewhere.........cause there ain't no such values here. This sector isn't exactly a bastion of socialist ideals and standards. Wager your funds accordingly.
