Pilbara Minerals Limited is an Australia-based lithium company. The Company is primarily engaged in the exploration, development, and mining of minerals in Australia. Its 100% owned Pilgangoora hard-rock lithium operation is located approximately 120 kilometers (kms) from Port Hedland in Western Australia’s resource-rich Pilbara region. The operation consists of two processing plants: the Pilgan Plant, located on the northern side of the Pilgangoora area and produces spodumene and tantalite concentrates, and the Ngungaju Plant is located to the south produces spodumene concentrate. It owns 70% of the Mt Francisco project, which is located 50 km south-west of the Pilgangoora Project and hosts the large occurrence of outcropping pegmatites located nearby to Port Hedland. It is also pursuing a proposed downstream joint venture (JV) for the development of an approximately 43,000 tons per annum (tpa) lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) lithium chemical conversion facility in South Korea.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:news for agg investors...fyiThanks - I think if some of the the Canadian business prove to be viable in frac sand - they could or would seem like plausible, logical acquistions for the likes of SLCA, HLCP - who have networks up in Wisconcin - so augmentation of positions, networks (particularly if rail served) - would make sense.

Also going back to your original observation on PLS - I agree that they need to move the price needle.  I think we investors want more evidence of pricing being pushed (and lets be honest Q1 was a dissappointment).  

Pricing in LA will be closer to $20/ton - which will slowly lift enterprise ASP, as LA vols grow.

Also - there is an argument to say they have established themselves in the Bay Area, during a difficult time; now that thye have constant, reasonable volume flowing through the Bay area terminals, (and demnad being what it is), they are moving into a realm where they can proactively push the pricing needle.
