RE:RE:RE:on the question of valuethink you are spot on: they are marginal (fringe) geographically - so not sure of their relevance to the Silican Valley market.
True change of ownership - but I think this was a case of VMC buying some proven permitted reserves from a family - who were not mining the property.
I suppose it speaks to consolidation, and let me telly uo the benefit of that:
1. VMC need to generate returns on their 80M investments so they have the incentive to price higher - than say a family or a maverick.
2. with a market controlled by fewer players - price signally, and price leadership is better understood and the market becomes quite profitable - so its good that this goes into the hands of a rational, large, price-leader who is a long term participant in this market - and is a good custodion of a shrinking, scare mineral resource.
I would not want it any other way.
