I still read it as PLT.UN can pay the interest with new units. We should know soon as the 40 to 60 day notice period expires November 21st. PLT.UN has given no indication they will not be paying the interest in cash and have never missed an interest payment before, so we shall see.
BTW, MM$4.5 worth od debentures have traded hands today alone. It is not PLT.UN buying the debs as they have not applied to the TSX to do so and nothing has shown up on Canadian Insider. They could have made private daels and are still within the 30 day filing period, but I doubt it.
Alkhor, I still believe that the
Optional Redemption clause has to be triggered first where the current Market Price is 125% of the Conversion Price before any thoughts of interest payments in new units could be considered, before the Maturity Date.
