Stephen Takacsy - BNN - Don't Buy

Holding this stock has been a value trap so far ; sometimes you buy what people think is a high quality stock and it goes nowhere. Increasing  interest rates don't help.

DON'T BUY
PPL vs. ENB

ENB has much higher quality assets and better locations. More volatility in earnings. Rumoured to be interested in TMX pipeline, which is an overhang. Good company, dividend safe. He still prefers TRP and ENB.

Well, he's right. I mean, for example, look at a 1 and a 5 year chart PPL!! You can't argue that. It's gone nowhere less  excluding the dividend. Now that's its gone quarterly the shares have tanked even more so... Who knows.

OK, don't buy. I'm happy waiting while I collect a 6.9% dividend and am fairly confident that we'll have a share price in the mid $50 range in a year or so. If you have a better opportunity take it.

Oh..I didn't say I was selling. I have a decent amount and my cost is much lower than current price. So, I'm ok. I'm just not buying any more at the moment. Unless it goes into the mid $30. Then that's a different story.
