Why is SP so low?

Any smart dudes can educate me....Why is PPL hanging so low. Cannot seem to get a head wind to soar to the sky. I know markets have been choppy because of political winds and the feds increasing interest rates....that impacts the cost of doing business.

What else am I missing.?

Have you looked at ENB and TRP? Then look at Debt to Equity of all the Pipelines. Then look at BoC overnight rates. Then look at CDN Govt 5yr-bond yield chart for 10yrs. That's a start to finding your answer. Nothing wrong here, just the hot air leaking out of sector.

Hot air passed long ago, since BoC started raising rates a year and a half ago. Time to stabilize now!

exactly... People forget how utilities are interest rate sensitive. Same crowd that says, "Real Estate prices ONLY going up!"

Interest rates rise, utilities share price drop. Pipeline, Com stocks etc behave very simialr to Bonds, with an added risk factor. When your primary return is dividend yield, rising rates and higher rates for longer are not your buddy. Rest of the utilites, REITs, Telecoms etc are showing the same pattern..
