RE:RE:Quick guide to LONG profitsTheTorch,

Your investment story fills my heart with joy! What a great thing!

IT has been said somewhere that the most intelligent person is the one that knows that they in fact know nothing at all.

We invest with what's available, and at the time, you were expert enough in your opinnion, and it worked! I know FAR more about Pyrogenesis now than when I first invested in it, and thankfully, like you, the more I learn, the more my choice(s) to purchase are affirmed.

Congrats on what will surely be an amazing retirement!

What does TheTorch drink? My preference is Sambuca, but it might catch fire around somebody known as "TheTorch"....

Cheers to you my friend!

Thank you so much for this! I'm new to investing, and although I have had some success, I feel I need to continue learning more, and appreciate some leads on books and investing mentors.

My financial education was from watching Trading Places with Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy, "Buy Low, Sell High."  Seriously though, I first funded my 401K at the end of November 2017.  I didn't know was the market Low, and going to go High, or was it High, and was going to go Low.  So I just waited.  March of 2018, the market dipped, and I had also seen my monthly statement of just keeping cash in the account.  In four months, I had earned $1.20 in interest on $18,000 in the account.  Okay, you don't win if you don't play the game.  So, what companies to buy?  Obviously, I want to make money,  but I also want to feel good about the company that I'm buying shares in.  Companies that are making the world a better place.  I believe in the Clean Energy Revolution.  So I bought $5000 worth of shares of Tesla.  I had seen the documentary "A Plastic Ocean" on Netflix, which is where I heard about Pyrogenesis and their Plasma Waste Disposal system on the US Navy aircraft carriers.  Here was a problem, and there was a solution.  So I bought $5000 of shares at $.53 US.  It went down.  But, until you actually sell, you haven't made or lost any money.  So I held onto it. By January 2020,  I'd been down for almost 2 years, so I thought I'd lower my average, and picked up another $1500 of shares at $.33. Covid hit. It went down.  March 20th, I saw that PYR had hit a 52 week low, $.1406.  I wasn't sure if I was throwing good money after bad, and they'd be out of business soon, or if I was smart to get more shares on the cheap.  So I bought another $1500 of shares.  10,000 shares for  $.15 US/share.  I believe my trade was the only trade of PYRNF in the US that day.  A couple days later, it jumped to $.285 a share.  A week later, and my 24,705 shares at $.33 US average share price had finally broken even again, after two years.  I thought "Should I sell?" "No, let's see what it does."

I wish I would have found Stockhouse.com sooner.  I'd been down on Pyro, I knew about their waste disposal, but didn't know about all the other divisions.  So, a big Thank You to DevelopBC, MazerRR, TopSeeker, Uncleron, and all the other longs who have done so much to get me up to speed on Pyrogenesis, and HPQ.

I didn't follow your advise in this post, and learn everything I could about the company before I bought in.  I found out a little, and basically blindly, threw some money in the ring.  And amazingly enough, I lucked out. Once I was actually ahead, I finally started doing my homework (by reading on Stockhouse, and thus finding Agoracom.)  And holy moly, what an amazing company, all the different divisions, different industries that can use (and benefit from) plasma technology.

I realized I had found a winning horse, and have sold off almost all my other companies shares (even Tesla), and transferred my IRA over to buy PYR and HPQ.  I've got about 125,000 shares in PYR now, and 126,000 of HPQ.

So, I haven't done things the way I maybe should have, and feel I could certainly benefit from other's financial wisdom.  So thank you for listing some books to read, and explaining your investing philosphy.

Thank you Aaman4!  I really enjoy your posts, and really appreciate them!

Cheers!
