ArcByt and PyrogenesisInteresting information contained in current vacancies ArcByt is trying to fill in Montreal. The project aim is to produce a boring machine that would work 10X faster and at 1/10 th the cost of conventional technology. Their aim is to produce tunnels 2.5 M in diameter, and their new boring machine would seem use a combination of cutterhead and obviously plasma torches (There is an opening for a Cutterhead Design Engineer). The addition of a Senior Tunnel Engineer, in Montreal, of all place also seem to indicate that field trials may likely take place in Canada. So Pyrogenesis is again playing a major role in the project and thereby, with their track record in achieving the nearly impossible, give major boost to this new venture.
