You referring to the SHOP example, where the P/E ratio is meaningless because it has no earnings yet? Any ratios. A play like SHOP obviously shows you that you cannot use earnings or return based ratios to make the right investment decisions. But earnings will eventually have to catch up or you are showing promise of further business development in multiple areas. For a lot of plays, it is about the investor attention you are able to attract...squeaky wheel gets the grease.
