Pyrogenesis Canada Inc T.PYR

Alternate Symbol(s):  PYRGF

PyroGenesis Canada Inc. is a Canada-based high-tech company. It is engaged in the design, development, manufacture and commercialization of advanced plasma processes and sustainable solutions which reduce greenhouse gases. It offers patented and advanced plasma technologies that are used in four markets: iron ore palletization, aluminum, waste management, and additive manufacturing. Its products and services include Plasma Atomized Metal Powders, Aluminum and Zinc Dross Recovery (DROSRITE), waste management, plasma torches, and Innovation/Custom Process Development. It also operates PUREVAP NSiR, which is a proprietary process that can use different purities of silicon as feedstock to make a range of spherical silicon nano- and micro-powders and wires, for use across various applications. Its products and services are commercialized to customers operating in a range of industries, including the defense, metallurgical, mining, advanced materials, oil & gas, and environmental industries.

RE:RE:RE:RE:Observation.. @ 1:25:20

RE:RE:RE:RE:Observation.. @ 1:25:20I didn’t have high expectations for Peter answering the PUREVAP question in the Q&A, but his grin and “we won’t talk about that” comment when Aluminum was mentioned was telling enough :D . Really excited about PUREVAP’s potential future applications. The PUREVAP Silicon potential is already massive, both nano-sized (NSiR) and regular PUREVAP high-grade silicon, and it’s only one of many potential avenues that PYR can explore with this technology. Peter said it himself in this news release from several years back:

https://www.pyrogenesis.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/PR-PYROGENESIS-ANNOUNCES-PUREVAP%E2%84%A2-PROCESS-BREAKTHROUGH.pdf

“PyroGenesis’ PUREVAPTM is a disruptive process that has the ability to revolutionize the way the mining & metallurgy industry produces metals,” said P. Peter Pascali, President and CEO of PyroGenesis. “PyroGenesis has once again demonstrated its ability to use plasma as a solution in industries that have not yet had the luxury to consider its many benefits.

For example, the PUREVAP can probably produce high purity 99.99%+ Aluminum from low quality, cheap Alumina (~ $0.33/kg) at a cost that is cheaper than producing standard purity Aluminum. The oxide (O3) in the Alumina would be removed during the PUREVAP process, as are the impurities which are vaporized.

I don’t see High Purity Alumina (HPA) being used as a substitute for Silicon. Altech was targeting HPA as a Lithium battery separator coating material, not an Anode material.

Their aim is to produce 5N purity HPA to feed the market for LED technology. Since their failure and blotching this tech development, there is one lesson to learn. The mineral Kaolin is available in the area and other opportunities. My point is mainly that the HPA can become a competitor to hi-purity silicon metal. Maybe this why Peter did not want to talk about it.

No need to insult anybody. and thank you for the update on Orbite technologies, now operating as

AEM Canada

You don't know all your files well...Orbite has changed its name and has become private but it is now operational.  Check out the following link:

https://www.newswire.ca/fr/news-releases/l-usine-de-cap-chat-d-aem-canada-lance-la-production-d-alumine-de-haute-purete-856520629.html

"Problems with the German-designed fluidized bed furnace are finally solved with modifications by Canadian engineers. Continuous production of high purity alumina (HPA) at the Cap-Chat plant is launched."

Also, you don't have to be a smart with the 4N terminology, I'm summarizing to make the texts lighter, Einstein!

Yes, good catch, I noted the smirk on his face. And the mustache jumped a bit. As you probably know, the Chemical process at Orbite failed to perform in full size.  Altech is moving in the same direction using chemicals. Patents have been claimed for the use of pure al covering graphite in the making of anodes. Still experimental. But this is the one to watch across the street. If Bernard reads his e-mails, he is aware of it. The Altech co makes the components of the anode by covering the graphite with thin layer of aluminae (HPA also referred as 4N aluminae).
4N is the name of the race.

Quebec gov is anxious to recover the money from the Orbite sink hole.
Keep an eye on this. PYR did not want to talk about it. This might be an explanation for the extra space that PYR has leased.
