Why the hell call the annual meeting 3 months in advance?

Why the hell call the annual meeting 3 months in advance? The directors of a Canadian Corporation must call an annual general meeting of shareholders (“AGM”) within 18 months after incorporation and thereafter within 15 months of the preceding AGM, but no later than 6 months after the end of the corporation's preceding financial year (CBCA, s. 133(1)

This year's meeting is all set for June 27th, the second-last day they could hold it and still be compliant.

PPP probably knows the company won't still be around by then, and he won't have to answer any questions.
