I've

only ever just dabbled in stocks the last few years, haven't spent a lot of money and never really understood too much of what I was doing. Then I found HPQ bought 750,000 shares at 6 cents (because their vision makes sense) and sat and waited for a couple of years. Kind of forgot about them sitting in my TSFA it popped to 12 cents sold half got my investment back then found PYR bought in at 41 cents and reinvested inHPQ and still kicking myself that I didn't go all in with PYR . My investment manager told me I was nuts stay with mutual funds and safe RRSPs guess who invested today in PYR and HPQ  he is still sceptical but aplogized personally to me today and said everything he has read and researched is nothing but positve. Not sure if I'm allowed to say but he is one of the top guys with Mlife and those guys are one of the most conseravite investors you can find. Just putting that out there feeling really excited and love riding this wave

'Investment Manager's' stopped being Managers 20 years ago. Their firms(Big Banks/Insurance) turned them all into 'asset gatherers' and client 'hand-holders during downdrafts in the general market. The days are long gone when their 'firm' would allow them to give any advice on anything other than 'which money manager' you should pick... from their ...more

Don't even get me started about all those overpaid so-called 'experts' that are paid big bucks to do NOTHING but spew the party line that is provided by their own analysts!! The whole system is rigged by all these suits to put us in 'low-risk', 'consevative' stocks so we make money yet most of the time these things barely make anything, all the while, your 'expert ...more

With same boat years ago, then wisened up and ended up self directing my investments with Royal Direct. Nothing beats doing it on your own and thankfully doing quite well especially with PYR and HPQ.. Were it not for these two, my investments would still be going sideways... Enjoy the ride!

Hey Molly how are you? Could’nt agree more. Stopped using Advisors years ago! Like you I found PYR years ago (5) on my own.  Did my dd and the rest is history.  Lost count of how many people I urged to follow PYR and at least read about their tech.  People just wanted validation from the so called experts and ignored my advice.  Finally this year I convinced a few people to ...more

I had a friend recently say to me, after asking if he bought PYR, Why would I take investment advice from YOU? You told.me to uy HPQ at .09 3 yrs ago and theyre STILL .09! I said ok, no worries, and by the way....HPQ is .36...thats a 300% return over 3 yrs....lol I guess some.people.are.perfectly happy with their FA 5-7% per year

Eddie Murphy said it best in the movie Trading Places when speaking to the investing house brothers, " so you two are a couple of bookies"  LOL   and that is all the so called investing experts are.

Thx Brie! Sorry I missed this. Yeah I just couldn't be happier for all those individuals that took their investments into their own hands where it TRULY matters! Five sets of "'experts' later and I have officially given up. There is the occasional exception but I challenge ANYONE here to show me ONE 'expert' that recommdneded PYR six months or a year ago??!!?  Of ...more
