SIGNING ABC

PYR has announced " Final negotiations with more than one iron ore producer, could we be getting one signed contract with ABC. Would it not be a better torch price for ABC  if they got together and negotiated one overall contract?

I am sure they could negotiate better, but why? I have not seen this done in business, or really anywhere.....Vale, LKAB, Mittel etc. all have their own way of doing things, their own unique situations, and also their own legal and accounting teams. I don't large players coming together, especially considering that the first one to close the contract could potentially have a competitive edge ...more

Your resoning makes sense but we are talking alot of money here and by joining together to get a better discount could save them millions.GMHO

They are competitors competing w one another.  Only possibility is if a JV...which is highly unlikely.  PYR plasma torches only game in town for induration furnaces....pretty awesome :)

Sure, but here is the questions for you..... If you had a technology that you knew saved your customer money, and you were the only place they could get it, would you lower the price just because they wanted more of it? Cheers!

If I could get an order for 2000 + torches , I could live with a 57% profit  instead of 67%. I would have more money up front to advance more projects.
Comment by Welderkev1 on Sep 05, 2020 6:34pm
Sure that's still a lot of money but why would it make a difference whether or not you get an order for 150 torches or 2000 torches when if they need 2000 torches they're going to have to come back to get them from you because you're the ONLY one that sells them and there are other customers standing at the counter saying I'll take them for that price

OK I  agree with your reasoning on not giving a discount. I"M stuborn but open to other peoples views.
Comment by CndnBacon on Sep 06, 2020 10:32am
Exactly Welderkev1, PYR is the ONLY game in town.....no discount required. Both PYR and their Clients understand the economics of the upgrade, but more importantly PYR does....these Clients can either pay PYR whats been determined as a fair price and increase their bottom line OR they can continue to lose huge sums of money until PYRs Patents expire and MAYBE purchase PYRs out dated tech from ...more

Really Duke, client A alone is looking for around 150 torches, how many torches you think it would take for Pyro to give a discount if they would? I myself wouldn't give a discount, the more torches they buy the more money they save on oil, insurance costs, transportation of such fuels and $$GHG taxes$$, so it's a win win, PYR is going to be massive no need for discounts

They are competitors which means they do not work together. I don't know In what world you live In but right now we live In a  neo-capitalist world which means that there Is no collaboration between corporations. The only collaboration that they have Is against governments. Stop the bs and acknowledge that PYR will dictate the price they want like Peter sair they have the patents = PYR ...more

I think that might be called 'collusion' if ABC got together to negotiate with PYR. Not legal, methinks
