Would like to see in a near future plasma torches on the biggest cruise ships for waste disposal...just like the aircraft carriers! Is it possible?

Hi Tcheck, After I read your post, I sent a question about it to Peter on Agoracom. Let's see what he replies. Regards, Snowdrift

You would think the burners would be in high demand for crematoriums. All the lefties will wanna leave with a low carbon footprint. Another great division?

I think developbc explained why the application is not a no brainer for so many companies that have lots of waste. And I think Peter alluded to on Agoracom that cruise ships are not an easy sell. Just shows that you cannot start counting on billions of revenues on each division as cool as the stuff sounds.

Unlike the current class of aircraft carriers which are powered by a nuclear reactor, cruise ships are primarily powered by diesel engines burning heavy fuel oil. Burning heavy fuel oil to generate electricity to run plasma torches would not be an efficient "green" solution.
