Rio Tinto labrador

I am new to this stock. Bought in a few days ago. PYR is currently involved in the installation of plasma guns for a test project where i work. We normally use bunker C to heat our pellet furnaces. If this technology works it will be a game changer. Much cleaner for the enviorment. Good luck to all. Everything is high risk but i am excited about the ceiling for this stock.

What can you tell us about the trial? Is it progressing? Did that damage to the furnace get repaired? Are the torches operating well?  Thanks
Comment by Proster649 on Jan 16, 2024 1:43pm
Testing is still on going in the pellet plant. To the best of my knowledge they are expanding the trials.
Comment by Uncleron on Jan 16, 2024 4:10pm
RioTinto  will need a ton of torches,  as many as Vale ?......Vale has 16 furnaces that have 55 torches per furnace and they are going to be replaced with plasma torches....sold by Pyrogenesis of course !...The torch market has had plenty of exposure to the plasma torches and it's time to get to the head  of the backlog....Otherwise today's new client will have the number ...more

Being there, working at RT,  wouldn't you want to wait and see it works before buying shares?

Are you a paid poster?

Given that Pyro treats client information as being confidential, I would assume that clients would to.  Aren't you concerned that posting this kind of information could breach your company's code of conduct and in the context of a publicly traded company be concerned about leaks that could be subject to regulatory authority oversight?

Ok, so not so confidential....anybody allegedly from Rio Tinto is authorized to post such information on a public forum. Go ahead and give us more details then.

The dead giveaway...he refers to them as Plasma Guns. Glta

You look naive because maybe you are new in this stock. Or paid poster. You can investigate PYR's so many NDA from 3 years ago which had boosted its stock price.   It will give you some time to rethink its announcement.

I never figured it was a big secret. I am not upper management. Just a lowly electrician. FYI I have been with this company for 35 years. I just found out there is more testing required as it appears the initial test did not generate the required heat for baking the pellets. I only have a little over 5000 shares so  trying to drive the share price up 10% by spreading false information means ...more

The 4 torches at RT did not pass the SAT, failing to generate enough heat.. What are they now doing? And you bought 5000 shares knowing this?

Such brilliance there Stairway, jumping on a statement made by Proster649 as truth, we have no idea that he works at the mine, he could be posting from south Florida for all we know. Why hasn't he or she posted prior to this if it is actual fact that the torches did not meet intended specifications?  Jump on any fud and try and shove it down shareholders throats to try to cause panic to ...more

By CndnBaconI see a new poster over on SH is claiming to be a sparky at IOC and that the torches didnt get hot enough to produce the required results....strange timing for someone to jump into the discussion completely unrelated to current news. RIO presented at the QUEBEC SYMPOSIUM.. in Sept.  There was never any hint or leak of the torches not producing enough heat .You would think that kind of info would have come out by now.. without this great revelation by this poster.

You were not in Quebec Harjay. Remember?

Easy Stitches, I’m just questioning, we have someone here that says he works at RT and has info on the torches. I questioned him yesterday too, when some thought he was pumping by saying he had just bought shares.

Reread the post you put up Stairway, I apologize, I read that wrong, and in the end I agree with what you said, why buy then say the test basically failed.  Stitches

I am just being honest. I still think pyr is a good stock but yes wheter or not it will be successful with rio tinto (iron ore company of canada) remains to be seen. To be honest I never heard of them till the last few months when the testing was being set up. Keep in mind our firing zones need to reach 1200 degrees to bake the pellets. I only found out yesterday about the test results. They will ...more

When the stock was doing well, 3P was very active with Agoracom interviews and postings.  Keeping investors updated to the extent possible.  Since the stock has plummeted so has his investors relations activity.  No more of those exceptional news releases commenting on the share price and how everything is great.

Proster649, thank you for informing us what is going on with Rio Tino Canada. But somehow I'm a little dubious about your honesty. This is the first I have heard that the torches didn't heat the pellets to 1200 degrees celsius or Fehrenheit. It's my understanding that reaching 1200 degrees should be no problem for the torches....???
Comment by Proster649 on Jan 17, 2024 5:52pm
I am no expert but the surface area of our pelletizing machines are quite large. I would think that would make a difference. Every machine has around 20 firing zones. The temperatures are in Fahrenheit. Like I said I have nothing to do with the testing. Good luck to all stockholders.
Comment by StairwayTo on Jan 17, 2024 6:30pm
1200 F vs C? Good luck to all? What are you doing? Take a picture of the 4 torches will you.
Comment by Mxz123 on Jan 17, 2024 9:03pm
You are not an expert in the field of Pyrogenesis plasma torch tech. You are a electrician..as you claim. Which means, you have no tech experience in pelletize divisions.
Comment by raphaelle2 on Jan 17, 2024 10:49pm
Proster649 Sorry to contredits you, but the typical sintering temp of iron ore varies between 1150-1235 CELCIUS. It increases with the ore purity. It also depends on the pO2 ( oxygen partial pressure). This is why proper sintering with air plasma is not as simple as it looks, which, let alone the temperature itself which must be uniform across the entire bed, which as you say is quite large. Thanks for the clarifaction. I never did adjust to the metric system lol. You are correct. Hopefully they can supplement the use of Bunker C because it is an enviormental nightmare. We hope the next test is more successful. They did install a new MCC specifically for this test, so have invested a fairly large sum in this project. I am not a tech guy and never claimed to be. Could i ask ? How many torches were used per furnace ?
Comment by Proster649 on Jan 18, 2024 9:06am
The furnaces have different zones that bake the pellets at different temperatures. They are only using four torches to test one zone.
