correct me if I'm wrong

hasn't the pattern been to halt for the session and announce after hours?
Comment by besttobe on Jan 29, 2021 12:47pm
No it hasn't. If it is bad news they will announce after hours and give the weekend for investors to digest the news. If it was good news, they would have already had a news release prepared and announced it by now.  Hold bad news...post good news.

Trading halts can happen any time, any day. And trading can resume soon after a halt, or it can be delayed for a day or more. It all depends on the nature of the halt.
Comment by gibbonsj on Jan 29, 2021 12:53pm
yes but PTQ has it's own way of doing it and it seems to me the halts last the session, announcement made after hours.
Comment by Tropicalsun on Jan 29, 2021 12:56pm
gibbonsj, how do you keep the PTQ board in suspense?? I'll tell you tomorrow. LOL, bahahaha. Ya I know pretty lame. Blind guy walks into a bar, picks up his dog and starts spinning in circles. The bartenter says hey what are you doing?? Blind guy says just looking around. LOL, bahahaha.

Now that's funny. I will use that joke and friends will think I'm funny. Clever and funny all in one day. LOL

That is what makes this interesting. The halt occured before trading opened and if this was orchestrated then I believe we would have received an announcent last night, along with financials. It appears management was caught off guard and a scamble ensued to deal with the material event. If there was a sudden realization that there were errors in the financials would they have responded in this ...more

Interesting point of view, time will tell. GLTA

Vinobuono : i agree... the only thing is why financials were not sent yesterday ? Probably for the same reason ?
Comment by besttobe on Jan 29, 2021 1:05pm
You are wrong. They would have had to announce they were in negotiations with a potiential buyer long ago.  Something is wrong with the F/S.
Comment by Moemoney42 on Jan 29, 2021 1:05pm
It certainly is odd to have the stock halted the morning of the earnings call.!!  Also that its taken this long to have a press release.. if it was a minor press release one would think making the announcement during the earnings report would have been satisfactory... a buyout offer at the last minute could be something that would stop the trading activity and earnings report in its tracks ...more

"If there was a sudden realization that there were errors in the financials would they have responded in this manner?" I think this is exactly what has happened, they were trying to re-do an 11th hour correction in the financials and ran up against today's deadline. Hopefully they can resolve it over the course of the day and will release the updated financials after the market ...more

Good for you Estreet. At least one other poster here has some knowledge.  A F/S issue for sure.

Having done IR, if you go back to an earlier post I said the strong CDN $ will take some of the shine off revenve growth and to support sp for RS needed for NASDAQ listing a quick followup announcment concerning closing of acquisition or move to NASQAQ would be the logical move. Let's see. We're all  guessing.

Ther'e's the technical indicators that Ifsca offers, thank you so much,  and then there's the benefit of knowing first hand how public companies might respond to a given situation respective of putting things back on the rails and the tools they have at hand for doing that. Timing is an IR tool, tech analysys is an investor's tool and market psychology ties it all together.

Maybe not an error. If they are serious about a Nasdaq listing, maybe they finally decided last minute to present financials the same way peers do. Net revenues, equipment depn. included in cost of revenues, change to USD reporting.   From: Xxxxxxxxx Date: January 19, 2021 at 3:12:50 PM MST To: Cole Stevens Subject: Apria IPO   Hi, I notice ...more

Best case it is some audit note that has to be corrected or minor prior period adjustment. Worst case, they have to pay back the PPP loan and adjust F/S accordingly.  We shall see.
Comment by EStreet on Jan 29, 2021 2:20pm
You might be right however I certainly hope this is not the case,,. This will not play well, If these guys tried to do this conversion and have gotten bogged down in this complex transition process to the point where they are now blowing through deadlines.  This is not the year to be getting bogged down what with the subsidies and all,,,. It would have been far better to to start this in Q1,, ...more

There is no history of the company not being abale to manage financials but this is the venture and restatements have happened many many times over the years. The dual listing may have complicated things a bit but they seem to have reporting well in hand.
Comment by besttobe on Jan 29, 2021 2:07pm
The company has had to restate F/S many times in the past. Review past news releases. Not normally on the day they are released though.
