Doesn't look that way, if you look at the TSX report leading up to Oct 1, the short position further increase.

1.480M or 18.0% shares traded from sept 15-sept 30 were short sales.  That would translate to another increase of 550k shares short.

Interestingly, and as I suspected, it were the market makers that are now short.  You can see in the data that it was 998 separate transactions that were part of that.

So it looks like none of you sold when I broke the news.  There was no sell volume.  The market makers had to short the stock to make the trading fees and have been unwinding the short position.  It explains why whenever there is any supply on the bid it is gobbled up.
