RE:v_guerreriero - Thesis from Oct 2021 That was a very good thesis.
But, investors need to pivot with new information. And the thesis has changed with new information.
In the last three months:
- Fired CEO and CFO
- New trial ordered on Key Apple case
- Lost 9 cases at District Court
- Vizio and Sharp awarded damages and legal fees for "exceptional" case that WiLan had no basis of brining forward
- Lowest litigation pipeline of WiLan cases ever. From historical 50 cases to just 10.
- Launched another strategic review of WiLan
- ITS firms produced dismal recent quarterly results given margin pressures from supply chain issues and employee wage inflation
-Interest rates are rising which are negative on small cap tech stocks for valuation reasons and lack of scale to pass on higher cost of running the business.
Until I see the quarterly results and am assured that the strategic review wasn't a smoke and mirror ploy for poor ITS results than I watch on the sidelines.
