He was handsomely rewarded for 18 months of work at QTRH, during which time he was paid salary of ~$736K.
That was his reward for kick starting the transformation of QTRH to an ITS company. FWIW, when I spoke with Paul Hill, he viewed Wilan as a cash cow that would keep on giving and was personally not in favor of divesting the unit. That, more than any palace coup, may have led to the C-suite change.
