Technology similar to Rekor's is in IRD's iTHEIA Artificial Intelligence traffic data system that underpinned the $14M New York state award to IRD last year. What Rekor may have are contracts, but to date contracts have been elusive. However, Rekor claims to have several proof of concept tests ongoing which they believe will turn into revenue in the near term. Like Mrmoribund, I'm from Missouri on thsi one. Rekor is still bleeding cash and just raised ~$12.5M; but they're spending at a rate of negative $10M EBITDA per quarter, so they will need to raise money again in a few months if substantial revenue does not materialize. The bone heap is a real possibility.
