RE: 2.4 GHz will be a mess in 2-3 yrs anyway

RE: 2.4 GHz will be a mess in 2-3 yrs anywayHi Mardy 1) Yes at Cebit the entire conference centre was to be set up as a bluetooth net. It was not a failure due to inteference but due to a bunch of manufactuer's trying to get devices that have not passed interoperability tests to talk to eachother all at once. Once full qualification and inter-op tests are ironed out (and they will over the next few years) then less of these messes will occur. 2) The FCC has been lobbied by the bluetooth SIG for the last 2 years. This change was to accomoda the this SIG which is backed by the big players. It's not viewed as rope to hang one self, however I would take it as a "clear the deck" and move on to 5.8 GHz ASAP to technology that gets clobberd by FH I would suggest that the battelground to fight and secure with the FCC IS the 5.8 GHZ bandwidth (before the SIG starts eyballing this for Btooth 2) JMHO ed
