Both Philips and Broadcom are excellent. I would think that Philips may make more sense since they Acquired VLSI who did the Bluetooth chips in the UK for Ericsson they may have more RF experience. Broadcom on the other hand certainly is a quality shop, and adding a wireless version of their cable modem chip set would be interesting. Either way both companies are excellent. My preference as you know was ST Microelectronics becuase they are so price agressive and can handle huge volumes without blinking an eye. Regards
