semi conductors and auto industry

IPA  acquired patent portfolio from Infineon in 2015.

Very interesting artice re automotive industry and semis.  Infineon is one of major players in auto semis.

Go to google  Auto Semi Conductor Market 2021 - 2026 featuring major players. and other articles.

What  if case in Germany relates to semis in auto industry?

Infineon makes sensors, microcontrollers, power semiconductors and manufactured products achieve challenging safety products.

Astutein, I don't believe the IP is realted to the auto inductry.  The patents Wilan acquired were original Qimonda  IP, which I believe they bought when Qimonda  filed for bankruptcy.  The Siemens/Infineon/Qimonda German lineage can't hurt in the Apple-Germany litigation.

There is an interesting read about Qimonda AG on Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qimonda
