the tsx marker doesn't always indicate 100% that it was a insider. It can indicate to be a previous insider who no longer holds 10%. Brokers by default have to indicate that they are purchasing for insiders, sometimes it is assumed these brokers make mistakes since they may not realize the holding is now below the insider reporting threshold. TSX marker will also indicate an insider trade if an insider used the alpha exchange. Using the alpha exchange is a good way to hide who you are. It doesn't report names or to sedi. SEDI.ca is the best way to find out. But just sign up with Canadianinsider.ca, they filter and will email you any sedi filled trades. I did do some digging way back that also indicated that spouses of insiders will be marker flagged by TSX.
