RE:Ante Creek was purchased by ERF Not sure about Waskahican but without any spending Ante Creek was declining fast.
According to GMP/FirstEnergy August presentation, Ante Creek averaged 5,000 boe in Q2:
"Q2 2016 W.I. production averaged 2,200 bbl/d oil, 110 bbl/d NGLs and 16.2 MMcf/d gas (5,000 BOE/d, 46% oil and NGLs)"
Per RMP October 31 PR:
"Third quarter 2016 average production of approximately 4,300 boe/d (45% crude oil and NGLs)"
Per mid November ERF Q3 PR:
"The asset is located in the Ante Creek area of Alberta with existing production of approximately 3,800 BOE per day (45% liquids)."
Probably it wasn't such a bad deal for an asset with production down from 5,000 boe to 3,800 boe in less than 6 months and based on 3,800 boe, ERF paid exactly $30,000 per boe.
I am also a shareholder of ERF. They have liquidity to invest in the acquired asset and they also have experience in Waterflood implementation plus time and patience to wait for a positive response. Something RMP didn't have so perhaps we should stop mourning Ante Creek and focus on Gold Creek.
