dont know why we'd be in a blackout period either. those are usually for earnings releases or other such big news. wishful thinkin, maybe for a purchase? but def NOT for just regular normal business matters, like starting a CANADIAN TRIAL...(brazil trial too, same trial). the wording / response from IR -

the sentence about "cannot comment on blackout periods" doesn't strike me as out of the ordinary. what does seem odd is "as soon as we are able to update the market we will". we don't comment on BO doesn't mean one thing or another, even for masters of double speak like RVX mgmt. "As soon as we're able to": to me that implies you can't right now. technically you're able to update the market at any time, even if you have nothing to say. if you can't update the market, it's either you have nothing to say, or you're not allowed to!
The other things about blackout periods which makes me believe we're barking up the wrong tree: here's a standard definition of BO:
"A blackout period is a policy or rule setting a time interval during which certain actions are limited or denied. It is most commonly used to prevent company insiders from trading stock based on insider knowledge"
see the part about trading stock? BAZINGA! we'd actually have to have management TRADING - buying or selling. we have had ZERO buying. not a single freakin share puchased by insiders, pretty much EVER, that i can tell. no, insiders get their RSU's and options and grants for free. no real skin in the game which chafes my britches...
and here i was hoping for a Thursday NR saying we'd started dosing (CANADIAN TRIAL, NOT USA TRIAL). how is DM gonna go on BNN this weekend and say we've started this trial? oh yeah, its b/c a trial starts when u start paying for it, so we really started 7-8 months ago!
