Sherritt refinery

Sherritt refineryThe Hydrometallurgy processes used at Sherritt are absolutely state of the art and probably the only way to economically get nickel from laterite ores.   Just because it was brand new in the 1950s does not mean it has been supplanted by better technologies.   Improvements over the decades have made the process even more efficient.   We dont need any metallurgist on the board of directors, we need financial wizards.   We need people who can navigate through the debt problems associated with the Ambatovy mistake and the payment problems associated with dealing with Cuba (a country currently hampered by US politics).    I believe Sherritt is dealing appropriately with both issues.   Meantime, we do know our cost of production and it compares favourably if it is not the best to producers around the world.
