I agree that there has been an unfortunate trend at the board level to dealmaking at the expense of  value creation.  That is true of a lot of companies and is not unique to Sherritt.   I dont agree that the way to fix Sherritt's problems is to have technical expertise on the BoD.   I dont know how Glencore is structured, but i thought they kind of pioneered the deal making and sleight of hand takeover culture over value creation that we see in lots of industries in today.   I think that getting out of Ambatovy while still having a company left needed the beancounters we have on the board. 

 It is tempting to look over the fence, but Glencore/Xstrata is not the fence we should be looking at.   I still think the very high end nickel niche that Sherritt occupies will pay off once we get the debt sorted out.   Investors today will have a much more positive view of this company going forward compared to those of us who rode this thing down in the last few years.
