I am calling this a hit.  Lower NDCC based on high byproduct prices for Co and fertilizer despite higher input costs.  Production missed.  Cash seems decent - turning a corner.  Approach to capital plans seems smart / reasonable.  EBITDA $58mil.  Reference Ni proce $11.97 usd for q and average tealized proce $14.85 cad

I am less then impressed. Not pleased about the production miss especially that this quarter will be about the same. it's going to be hard to make full year guidance. The NDCC is a direct reflection of commodity prices nothing to do with the business. They frustrate me that they still fail to improve execution and the list of excuses are the same. well before you unload wait for $.90...   coming soon   and as for the miss - the rate limiting step is MOA.  so if the mixed sulphides just got delayed on the tracks between halifax and ft sask it obviously means more salable product in q2 so they can catch up....  it is when the mixed sulphides miss we have a major problem.  ft sask has extra capacity and can eat up any ...more

I will play devil's advocate: Wasn't the production loss due to train/transport issues from Halifax to the Fort? If so, they can hopefully make that up this quarter, which could pad next quarter. I would be more concerned with bah or mining issues in Cuba. cheers, mas75

this is exactly what i said below : ) 100pc correct.  mixed sulphide production met target - means more salable product next q and they will catch up.
