That 'arbitrage gap' of $3000/ton equals $1.36 /lb.  Or is a bigger? Because they say in the article that the discount averaged $8000 this past year but at the moment the price of ferrous nickel is half that of grade 1. So that makes it like $11,000 a ton. You add $5000 for the conversion and you get $16,000. That is $7.25/lb. Anyways both routes of calculation give you an answer sig ...more

He is a great speaker - I would point out he said there is huge opportunity for companies outside ONEC BUT inside the 'Inflation Reduction Act' umbrella.  That includes his company BUT not ours.  And the whole thesis evaporates if Indonesia makes a trade deal with US.
