The Future

I think we all have been "anchoring" on certain historic facts and not spending enough time contemplating a future that benefits from an expertise in refining, the prospect of Canada becoming a battery metal hub, and access to expanded markets.

Canadian sources for mineral extraction will be fine.  Sherritt doesn't do that.  It is also overweight in costs - especially in the executive suite - and a track record of doing terrible - especially with shareholders money. Big difference between them. At least with Sherritt's competitors in this space - in Canada - we have an honest effort to create value for the shareholder ...more

With all due respect (and I really do mean that sincerely), in my opinion that clearly was the foundational narrative 3 yrs ago to justify a spec turnaround play like S, at least clear for me.. unfortunately for me what was N O T at all clear to me in my opinion was the combined massive destabilizing forces waiting 12 months down the road: -Russian govt's Ukraine invasion; -Chinese govt ...more

In any normal case I would agree contrarian but the 1 historical fact that is front and centre impacts Sherritts future the most...embargo.  if that doesn't go, neither will Sherritts future. Doesn't matter what the price of nickel is, we saw that there was no impact to Sherritts sp. Mkts booming, no impact to Sherritts sp. Not much to know except embargo.
