To keep the level of awareness high regarding the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS), the Kingking Mining Corporation (KMC) recently conducted a two-day refresher training for its employees. The activity, which was held at San Jose Parish Church Event Hall on March 29 and 30, was well attended by all units of the company, with the standard health protocols observed all throughout the program.
Ms. Lenna S. Leopoldo-Grueso, KMC’s Environmental Management Representative, served as the resource speaker for the training. Discussed were the important clauses of the ISO 14001:2015 or the EMS, and how these clauses help an organization implement the system successfully.
Moreover, as a way of re-orientation, Human Resources and Administration Officer Nhorollajey Lalong made a short briefer of the company’s policies and programs, including the benefits each employee must get while working for the company. The organization’s Vision, Mission and Goals (VMG) were also explained.
The training forms part of KMC’s objective in promoting continual improvement among its employees.
To measure the effectiveness of the exercise, a post-training assessment was given to the participants.
KMC has been ISO 14001:2015 certified since 2017.
