ProShares Short SmallCap600 T.SBB

Primary Symbol: SBB

The investment seeks daily investment results that correspond to the inverse (-1x) of the daily performance of the S&P SmallCap 600 Index. The fund invests in financial instruments that ProShare Advisors believes, in combination, should produce daily returns consistent with the funds investment objective. The index is a measure of small-cap company U.S. stock market performance. It is a float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index of 600 U.S. operating companies selected through a process that factors in criteria such as liquidity, price, market capitalization, financial viability and public float. The fund is non-diversified.

Difference is, the BOD of both Teck and Newcrest rejected the initial offers by Glencore and Newmont respectively.

Conversely, SBB's BOD accepted and recommended shareholders vote in favor of BTO's offer so no need for BTO to offer more.

I think there's a less than 1% chance the BTO offer is rejected by shareholder vote, and all that is needed for shareholder approval of the existing BTO offer is 66 2/3% of votes that are actually cast, not total shares outstanding. I think it will likely be at least 80% on favour, likely higher. Watch and see.

I think it's likely that Newcrest's BOD will recommend Newmont's sweetened offer to Newcrest shareholders. However, I don't think Teck's BOD will accept the new offer by Glencore and will likely remain independent company.
