Not surprising, short positions were increasing on banks
Had a quick look at the short positions to Jan 15 and no surprsie , that nearly althe big 6 canadian banks saw an increase of between 1 and 2 million shares in the short interest in that two week period. Big gains since OCtober probabluy the reasoning behind that.

OOPS forgit to look at RBC before i posted that, their short position jumped by 3.27 million shares in that 2 week period.
