Proposing A Motion At The Next AGA

Hello all,

During the last 2 years, we saw the SP being dragged down from 80 cents to 10 cents. Posters do not seem to agree on the reasons of this decline, and please let's keep that debate out of this thread, but the situation is that we are in a more fragile situation than we were in 2 years ago.

Some are suggesting to have a new management for the company but IMO this would fragilize even more our situation. Some others (including me) are more supportive of the management. We got several debates here and it looks like the needle will never move to one or the other position since the opinion of shareholders are divided. In that case, it appears to me that a compromise should be proposed to join as much shareholders as possible so we could make a difference and send a message to the directors/management. By joining our forces, a clear mesage could be sent to the directors and management.

I would like to propose a truce for a while and concentrate our effort on gathering as much votes as possible on a motion we could propose at the next AGA to ask a reduction of the management's salary to keep the burn rate to a minimum. Management could be compensate in options/shares of the company until we get the financing or find a way accepted by the majority of the shareholders that would unlock the development of the project.

I think that this kind of proposition will demonstrate that the current BOD and management are "working" to increase shareholders value and be serious about keeping the working capital we have to pay for essentials. Since the selling of Point Rousse, I also think that management has less tasks to do and a salary decrease is justified.

Implementing such a plan would be seen as positive by future partners in my opinion and would be a cheap way to improve the reputation of the company, attract some new eyes or have some players on the sideline make a move.

Base on the last cumulative iq4u posted, bullboard members that accepted to share their position on the bullboard have more than 19M shares. It's a good start. My goal is to get as much shares as possible in order to attract the attention of the BOD and have a motion proposed at the next AGA.

So as a first step, I would like to know how many here would support such a motion at the next AGA. If you are in favor of such a plan, I would ask you to like this post. If there is a lot of likes, we can get organized.

I would also ask not to post any comments about the post for a while just so it can stay on first page for a while.

Thank you DDD! This sounds good to me! Perhaps it could be that a part of the salary musst be used to buy SGNL shares from the open market. I do not know if this is possible by law but this would sound good to me. GLTA IQ

I agree with with most of what you're saying. My thoughts are that you reach out to management and see if they can be proactive and self-implement something on their own, which will compensate them in the future, if successful. The last thing we want to do is cut their pay and ask that they increase their workload. example (% of salary + options???)

Slowing the burn rate won't help the $21 million CAD credit liability. Nor , with less than $10 m working capital , will you see much exploration or development activity and within 6-7 months the cash will be essentially gone except for shut down costs  I recall that if you can commander 10% of the shares, you can ask for a special AGM whose sole agenda item is to place the Goldboro ...more

OK, next step is to count the number of shares we could gather together. Please send me a private message stating yuor number of shares and if I get a fair number, I start looking at the proposal. GLTA
