RE:Added to the Canadian Dividend Aristocrats IndexThis is good news on several fronts:
  • will increase demand for units to fulfill requirements in ETFs that follow this index such as CDZ
  • will act as a disincentive for management to ever consider a cut - no matter how minor - to the monthly distribution
  • will act as an incentive for them to restore annual increases to the distribution - to maintain their membership in this "exclusive" club
