cash cost per oz

cash cost per oz

I have owned this thing for a while, a very small position but i have just got killed on it. I follow this board and i'm hopeing to start a dicussion on cash costs per oz for sgr. This is pure speculation on my account but judgeing from the reaction analysts have on this stock over the past few years wich is ( I paraphase) run away.

i'm starting to speculate that the true cost for  them to produce an oz of gold is actually at or higher then the price of gold. I have read resently that what a company releases as cost per ounce and actual cost per ounce are sometimes very different, same article pointed out that most companies are in the 1150 to 1400 range. owning sgr for years  I  know their cash costs have been higher then most of thier peers hence the constantly falling share price. ulitmatley it's about profit and is anybody aware of or able to determine how much profit sgr makes on an ounce of gold, not refering to thier news release and financials but as an independent calculation. remember it's in thier best interest to release the lowest interpretation of cash costs after all they are trying to paint the company as a money maker but i wonder what the reality is.
