This is the dumdest article I have read todate on the oil crisis. Russia is the largest oil producer in the world and one of the largest exporters,-its the USA falt that Putin cannot cut some oil exports to raise prices.  Putin has said that Russia will not cut oil production nor exports and so Russia and world suffers from low oil prices. Why? A small cut in percentage terms to Russia's exports would significantly close the over supply gap and raise prices.

Also Russia has confiscated a lot of Ukrainian moneyand property in its take over of Crimea-estimated by some to be in the $10B range.
