Surge Energy Inc (Alberta) T.SGY

Alternate Symbol(s):  T.SGY.DB.B | ZPTAF

Surge Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil focused exploration and production (E&P) company. The Company's business consists of the exploration, development and production of oil and gas from properties in Western Canada. It holds focused and operated light and medium gravity crude oil properties in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, characterized by large oil in place crude oil reservoirs with low recovery factors. It offers exposure to two of the five conventional oil growth plays in Canada: the Sparky and SE Saskatchewan. It holds a dominant land position and is drilling a mix of horizontal multi-frac and horizontal multi-lateral wells in the Sparky area. Sparky is a large, well established oil producing fairway in Western Canada. SE Saskatchewan is a focused operated asset base with light oil operating netbacks. SE Saskatchewan operates low-cost wells with short payouts and offers potential for continued area consolidation.

RE:Surge stock is being churned like butter

RE:Surge stock is being churned like butterThe US OTC short report shows over 70K shares shorted there yesterday. How many on the TMX? We don't really know but the "anonymous" trades suggest at least some, if not a lot.

So far today on the TMX, the same: Looks like a huge short right out the door; although this can only be speculated on based on who is trading; as Canadians are not allowed to see the short trade on a daily basis.

Oil is holding at US$71; and all the signs point at it staying elevated and perhaps even ballooning again.  Which begs the question:  What game is being played here?

We all know that, even more than commodity pricing, the dilly-dallying incompetence of the Trudeau regime has soured the market.  But the former is dissipating and the latter cannot be sustained.  Hard numbers at the end of Q2 will twitch the programs that seem to be all that most investors can read anymore.  “Buy” lights are flashing and will flash faster. There is a sea-change coming.  I would not want to be short when it does.
