i think that when they sell a contract at a consumer they buy a contract frm a vendor for the estimated volume for the same period of time, so this colder weather is not the imediate benifit you sugest. It will help with volumes but that is about as far as it goes... well that is the way i inperpret the business model at least.

although i find it odd in that it trades like an oil and gas company though, in reality thier margin is fixed at the time of the sale.
