RE: On a slow day....My strategy has been mostly Silver since first buying Silver Standard Resources for ½ - 5/8 dollar back in 1995. That was my primary position until early 2007 when I “diversified” the gains. Today I am still mostly Silver but, I also maintain a substantial amount of Uranium and Copper and a little bit of Gold.
I categorize my Silver stock investments as Producer, Developer and Explorer and have chosen a favorite company for each of those categories. These three companies are trusted with most of my investment capital as I really have a long-term faith in their's and Silver’s future.

The Producer: Great Panther Silver Limited

The 100% owner of Mexico’s historic Guanajuato Mine Complex. This is where I see Silvermex going. Exploration was secondary to production. Management has methodically built a sound mining operation that is only beginning to show profits. Although I categorize the Panther as a producer, the company’s resource remains largely unexplored. A portion of profits are now being funneled into proving NI 43-101 compliant the vast amount of Silver that share holders and the local community already knows are there. Low cash cost with action for continued expansion. This primary Silver producer will one day be a household name.

Recently combined with Genco Resource LTD., Silvermex also controls a large portion of Mexico’s Silver resource and is in the initial stage of production. Recent developments including the addition of some top mining executives in the sector have influenced me to add a large portion of my recent Great Panther gains into this up and coming kitten. It is now my largest investment to date.

In my honest opinion, if management will just keep their eye on the ball and put that enormous, low-cost Fuwan silver deposit into production, I may get to visit China some day. Highly leveraged. A great amount of risk to reward ratio. I have a big make or break position in this gem. Waiting for news of a mining license. When permitted, stock price will likely soar!
Also, I have a small position in Esperanza Silver as does Silver Standard. The only time my investment in Silver keeps me awake at night is when I’m too excited to sleep. Good luck to all you mining enthusiast!
