RE: strange day in the marketsMaybe it's the influx of those little people investors they talk about .. rushing in to get slaughtered.. The hedge funds say, hey, come on, the water's fine! Either that, or Uncle Sam is at work propping it up. Also, shorts tried to drive it to 12000 and failed a number of times, perhaps they got discouraged. Or maybe I just don't know. :)
