RE: RE: RE: Silver Premium?

MudCreeker. I like to attend local auctions, especially estate sales because I hope to buy valuable things below market. It rarely happens but, hope is what brings me to the sale. Ebay, like many auctions does occasionally provide such opportunity especially on items with less liquidity.

I think the 1 ounce Silver bullion coins trade so liquid because of their features. They are a precise troy unit of .999 fine, they feature dramatically attractive designs, and are even provided nifty storage containers for 20 ounces and monstrous 500 ounce quantities. Buyers of collectable coins that were made for circulation must concern themselves with wear, strike, luster, population, etc., while buyers of bullion coins are mostly concerned about their units of Silver.

I see APMEX “will pay you $1,250.00 for your 2010 America The Beautiful 5 oz. Silver coin sets”. These are trading regularly on eBay from $1,350 to $1,500. With a one per household limit, they can still be purchased directly through a government authorized purchaser for under $1,000.

Here is a handy web site for figuring melt value of coins from Canada and the USA. They even have calculators for USA coins. https://www.coinflation.com/

Gold is back to its high as Silver is completing its most recent consolidation. I would love to see Morgan made a fool by the Bernank today!
