I agree with everything you said and we have been crying the very same things for some time.  Does anyone listen?  No, of course.  That's why SMF is no longer one of my core holdings.  That really is the only way we small retails can deal with these frustrations.  If I have another loser to sell I would have exited SMF entirely.  I need that to cushion the capital gains tax hurt. 

Yes, I did make money on SMF but not as much as I used to be.  Sometime I don't know what hurts more - seeing your investment lose money, or seeing your profits evaporated?
