When you set casing after drilling you cement it in place.  The next step is to log the well unless this was done open hole.  Once the lags are read they can perforate the casing at the interval of interest.  Hopefully they will be doing this.  The other reason for cement is to abandon a well that the open hole logs tell you is a bust.  Lets hope for the first
